How do we value our materials? And how do we treat them? In the jade shop, some pieces are locked into the safe, some are left on the ground as doorstop. I associate the later with people in limbo. They are jade, but not quite. They are human, but not quite, either.
By making this body of work, an inner story could be revealed, and a more ecological, humanistic and creative design approach could be provided.
